More About The Museum of the Future
The structure is a feat of engineering and architecture. With the use of cutting-edge technology on time-honored art traditions, it confidently bridges the present and the future. The structure "speaks Arabic," and Mattar bin Lahej's calligraphy on its exterior has been used to illustrate poems by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The futuristic shape of the structure creates a fresh route away from the high-rise towers that dominate all skylines. Its shape serves as a metaphor for humanity, the earth, and the unknown future. The circular structure stands in for humanity.
The Museum expands on the forward-thinking culture that in less than 50 years elevated the UAE to the status of one of the most developed countries in the world. We serve as a platform for the innovative, brave, and upbeat energy that drives Dubai forward.
The Museum is a center of tolerance, welcoming all cultural, intellectual, social, and spiritual viewpoints, much like our city. Our aspirations for the future are based on Arab and UAE values.
The Museum serves as a place of inspiration for everyone. We stand for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision by illuminating what is possible when people come together in unity, conviction, and devotion. Our mission is to shine a light in the darkness by demonstrating that progress can and must be made in a time of worry and pessimism about the future.
Though inherently optimistic, our envisioned futures are open about the hazards of the here and now. In our books, videos, exhibitions, and other public events, we'll demonstrate how today's issues might serve as the foundation for a brighter future.
With historical artifacts hidden behind velvet ropes, this is no ordinary museum. It was created by forward-thinking designers, artists, and filmmakers as a portal to the future. The Museum incorporates exhibition, immersive theater, and theme park features. Each floor can be inhabited, explored, and interacted with like a futuristic movie set.
The locations and situations we are creating are both expansive and immersive; they are intended to broaden the audience's notions of what is possible for the planet, the future, and for themselves. A group of the best product, media, exhibition, and experience designers in the world created this content.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, established the Dubai Future Foundation in 2016 to institutionalize future-shaping.
The Foundation's mission is to envision, plan, and implement Dubai's future. The Foundation's success is being fueled by its willingness to take risks and its agility and vision.
The Foundation was founded on the fundamental conviction that leadership in the present is insufficient. It is the future that we must envision, plan for, and carry out.
The Museum of the Future is an initiative of the Dubai Future Foundation.
The Museum of the Future is much more than just another museum that showcases modern inventiveness. The museum, as its name implies, is exclusively designed to create the next-generation exhibitions that will take you 50 years into the future. It does this by utilizing the most recent design, prototype, and technical breakthroughs. Its stunning ring-like structure with a huge open core is where you may learn about the future of constantly evolving science and innovation.
A stunning architectural wonder, the Museum of Future is 77 meters tall! Its exterior is made up of 1024 parts that were produced utilizing the most sophisticated robot-assisted method, and it was built by renowned architect Shaun Killa. It is further enhanced by the inspirational sayings of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum that Mattar bin Lahej inscribed in beautiful calligraphy on it.
The building, which has three sections, represents the museum's dynamic vision. The green hill represents the planet, the modern ring represents humanity, and its hollow center represents innovation. In addition, the majority of its interiors are devoted to ground-breaking inventions, giving you the unique opportunity to not only travel into the future but also to feel, touch, and reimagine it in all plausible ways thanks to its futuristic flying objects, elevators that resemble capsules, and other futuristic technology. A observation platform is also available, promising an amazing, in-depth view of the museum's architectural highlights.
Each of the museum's seven floors, which total approximately 30,000 square meters, resembles a futuristic film set. They'll take you up to and past the year 2071. It enables you to experience anything you would have imagined from a sci-fi magazine or movie, including cutting-edge space stations, a mind-boggling DNA library, a futuristic spa, and the most advanced in ecology, wellness, and spirituality.
The Museum of the Future is the first museum of its kind. Built to transform the very perception of the future as we know it, the unique structure has become home to several immersive future environments that aim to position visitors in an empowering version of the future. Through distinctive themes, it elicits a world we thought we could only experience 50 years from now. Visitors become active participants in an expansive experience that taps into all five senses. By meaningfully merging aspects of science, technology and spirituality, the Museum inspires humanity to re-imagine the future and all its possibilities.
One of the most complex and ambitious projects ever executed, with an instantly iconic inimitable exterior. Rising 77-metres above the ground and comprising 1,024 unique stainless steel composite panels, the façade is adorned in Arabic calligraphy, displaying three quotes written by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai.
With every curve, the poetic building straddles the past and the future embodying a beacon of hope and curiosity. As the Museum sits uniquely between skyscrapers, its unprecedented ring shape represents mankind and humanity. The green mound it sits atop symbolises the earth, while the inner void reflects the unknown aspect of the future and allows room to conquer it through innovation.
The Museum of the Future occupies a prime location adjacent to the Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road.
